  What to say? I Don't want to go to meetings anymore?

  so it has been a couple of months since me and my family have attended a meeting.

  we have received a few calls and visits.

  but what do you say when people ask "where have you been"?

  When a crime is commited?

  i responded to someone on another thread, but would love to know this answer.. if a victim adult or child goes to elders and claims they were abused, don't they have to have clergy confidentiality?

  so i was told that they encourage the victim to contact authorities , and they contact bethel, but arent there hands tied if the victim does not want to go to authorities?

  an elder made the comment to me once.

  i am just curious who on this board is in the same situation has i am?

  a spouse that is fully brain doogled in and you are awake to ttatt.. without going into serious detail and no names are given.

  i would like to possible talk with one of you all, it's just so helpful to communicate with someone in the same situation as me.. i am located in the southwest united states..

  I also am fully awake. Have young kids still, wife said she still wants to stay in but if she didn't, then she wouldn't even believe the Bible. So I am taking it slow,gonna work at her pace. We both have been missing alot of meetings, lately.

  Door to Door

  i hear my wife say to me " we are the only religion that does the will of god , and that is to preach door to door, and speak about gods kingdom" and in one sense she is correct, i know there are others that preach door to door, but then someone told me door to door, does not literally mean door to door in modern times.

  i was confused, has anyone ever heard of this before?

An elder made the comment to me once. That it would be so much easier if there was a law that said when they hear of a crime committed they must report to authorities. So I guess any religion has this same issue with clergy confidentiality?

  hello, i have been lurking for a while, but discovered ttatt for about 8 months now.

  i am trying to fade out, problem is i have a big family i would lose if i got df'ed or da,'ed myself.

  my wife knows how i feel, and is not thrilled but i cant hide my feelings.

  Thank you all...The emotions one goes thru in this process are insane. I have good days, and bad days, and say to myself " I am an adult, I can choose what I want to believe" so I dont get why my feelings go back and fourth so much. It is all I think about now, and think of how I will respond to people when they ask me questions as to how i have been, or is everything alright..

  Thanks again for those that understand and are in same boat as me..

  Pale.empror, I am expecting the same kind of treatment with a call soon about wanting to get together and ask what is going on with me, but my response will just be " Yeh, I have some personal matters I am dealing with at moment, and If I need your help, I will contact you" Hopefully that buys you some more time.

  Hello, I have been lurking for a while, but discovered TTATT for about 8 months now. I am trying to fade out, Problem is I have a big family I would lose if I got DF'ed or DA,'ed myself. My wife Knows how I feel, and is not thrilled but I cant hide my feelings. There is so much I have learned these past few months it is incredible. I was brought up a JW, so kinda just went along with it. Anyway, I will give my full story one day, but don't want to say too much now. Look forward to chatting on these boards..
